The MML is especially pleased to present this week's podcast. Not only is the third installment of the The MML podcast an offering from the inimitable Claude Von Stroke, but it's a rare live recording of his set from the free Dirtybird Party in Golden Gate Park on August 2nd, 2009.
In 2006, Barclay Crenshaw, aka Claude Von Stroke, flipped the script on the dance music world with the release of his first full-length LP "Beware of the Bird." Injecting big beats, clever sampling, and, most importantly, fun into the techno template, CVS created a whole new sound that to this day defies classification. Instead, along with label mates Worthy, J Phlip and brothers Justin and Christian Martin, CVS has created his own genre: the Dirtybird sound.
What can you expect with this podcast? The unexpected, of course. CVS has built his reputation as a DJ on his rare talent for combining rhythms from a wide range of dance music and weaving them into a magic carpet of sound. The Dirtybird parties in Golden Gate Park have become the highlight of every summer in San Francisco since they began. Now is your chance to hear why.

The Martin Brothers, Justin and Christian, get deep and dirty in this live set at the 2008 LoveFest fundraiser for The MML.
Recorded at Club Mighty on September, 19th 2008, this mix has something for everyone: deep tech house, chunky grooves and the playful rhythms one would expect from this dynamic duo.
Justin Martin began his prolific production career five years ago with releases on Ben Watt's Buzzin' Fly and Om Records. When he teamed up with fellow producer and friend, Barclay Crenshaw aka Claude Von Stroke, to start their seminal label, dirtybird, a fresh and fun new sound evolved that has since taken the dance music world by storm.
Soon after, Justin's brother, Christian joined the dirtybird crew and together, The Martin Brothers have produced a genre-defying list of tracks that push the sonic limits of production while still keeping everyone begging for more on the dance floor. The fundraiser was a huge success and you can hear why in this exclusive podcast from The MML.
